The foundation of IBM’s business over the first decades of the company’s life were the many different tabulating machines turned out in the IBM factory in Endicott, N.Y. This IBM advertisement from the September 22, 1930, issue of Time magazine, shows electric key punch, sorting and accounting machines, together with the ubiquitous punched card. (VV9002)
