The salt mine in Turda is located in Turda city, Cluj County, Romania and it is a veritable history museum of salt mining.
The excellent state of preservation of mining and machinery used to transport salt, together with the cautious work carried out for prepararing the mine to become a tourist attraction, have made history and legend meet harmoniously here. The increasing number of tourists arriving from distant geographical areas to visit the mine are a confirmation of interest and historical.

After the last renovation, the mine has been equipped with a range of facilities. You can play football, billiard, table tennis, you can get to high places within a big wheel to see better some interesting salt deposits on the ceiling. Also, the mine has a small amphitheater.

There is also a subterranean lake deep enough to ride the boat.
